Princes In The Community

On both our Wem Shop counter & Prees counter we display a variety of charity collection boxes and tins.

Our customers regularly place loose change in their choice of charity box. Our choice of charities include, Severn Hospice, Midlands Air Ambulance, NSPCC, Wem Swimming Baths & Leisure Centre amongst many others!

We also occaisionally take collection boxes in for local customers who're taking part in fundraising events. For example we're currently displaying a sponsorship form and collection box for a local Prees customer who is running the London Marathon this year.

Poppy Appeal:

Each year we take a collection box in from Wem's Poppy Appeal.

Our customers are always so generous with their donations and year on year our contribution seems to be increasing. 








Sponsorships:

There are many events within the Town that annually take place. As a local business we are
proud to support many of these events by providing sponsorship.

Our sponsorship varies from providing a trophy or award, providing advertisements for programmes, magazines or Club Handbooks, and sponsoring event categories such as The Sweet Pea Show's 'Three Vases Distinct' category.

Raffle Prizes:

As a local business to many organizations holding fund raising events in
Wem, we're regularly supporting these organizations by providing raffle prizes. 

Our raffle prizes are contributed to Local Schools, Local Sports Clubs, Brownies, Scouts, Guides, Dancing Groups, Coffee Mornings, and the list goes on! 

This particular gesture really emphasises our presence within the Town and demonstrates to us, the importance of consensus within a community. 

 

 

Competitions:

We regularly use our social media pages to post competitions which our followers can take part in.

Taking part in our competitions generally involves 'liking and sharing' a post as well as liking our social media page.

A winner is drawn and invited into the shop to collect their prize, with an obligatory photograph for our social media pages!




Local Parish Magazines & Advertisements:

There are many magazines and local publications which we're often asked to place an advert in. 

Some of the advertisements are distributed in local areas such as Whitchurch & Market Drayton, and some are for specific events such as The Weston Show, or Calverhall Funday Programme.

Dementia Friends Society:

Viv Edgar from Wem has admiraly spent hours of her time completing voluntary work and providing workshops for several Wem businesses, groups and individuals to take part in.

She has delivered information on dementia, it's effect on individuals and how to tailor your approach to customers if required. Viv has educated a huge proportion of Wem including ourselves!

Dennis, Danni and Tom took part in Dementia sessions leading to the business' membership of 'The Dementia Friends Society'. 

 

Display of Posters & Adverts: 

We're more than willing to display posters and leaflets for events that are taking place in, Wem, Prees and surrounding areas.
At our Prees store we have access to a large notice board outside of our shop, and in our Wem store we have a designated window.
